Right Leader at Right Time for the right Reason

I am running for Delegate to Congress because the U.S. Virgin Islands deserves a voice in Washington that is both experienced and unwavering. My decades of work on the global stage, fighting for reparative justice and territorial sovereignty, have prepared me to lead this fight in Congress. The issues we face—from strengthening our economy and infrastructure to ensuring our access to quality healthcare and education—require a leader who understands our unique history and is committed to our future. I will not rest until the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands have the justice, equity, and opportunity we are owed.

Who We Are

“US-ward” is about movement together— progress, unity, and a shared future.

Key Policy Positions:

Political Status & Full Representation

The core of our struggle is the fight for political and civil rights, and our status as an unincorporated territory is the root of most of our challenges. We are subjected to federal laws, taxed indirectly through duties and tariffs, and our young people serve in the U.S. armed forces, yet we are denied a vote in the very body that governs us.

Crime Prevention & Public Safety

Public safety is the foundation of a healthy community, but our islands have been plagued by a cycle of violence fueled by external forces. Illegal firearm importation is a primary driver of crime, and it is a federal responsibility to secure our borders and ports of entry. We must hold the U.S. government accountable for its role in preventing the flow of illegal weapons into our community.

Climate Resilience & Infrastructure

The Virgin Islands are on the front lines of the climate crisis. Hurricanes, rising sea levels, and extreme weather threaten our very existence, and our fragile infrastructure is not prepared. Our energy grid is a prime example; it is a relic of the past, dependent on imported fossil fuels, and is easily crippled by storms, leaving our communities in darkness. Our roads, ports, and housing are equally vulnerable, and our lack of reliable broadband access creates a digital divide that hinders economic growth and education.

USVI Territorial Sovereignty

My most critical mission as your delegate is to end this colonial status and secure a new political status defined by self-determination. I will advocate for a binding, internationally recognized process where every Virgin Islander has a voice in choosing our future: statehood, free association, or independence. Furthermore, I will demand that Congress be transparent, providing a clear outline of the resources, rights, and commitments under each option before the vote takes place. Our future must be chosen by us—not dictated by others.

Reparative Justice & Historical Redress

The challenges we face today—from health disparities to economic inequality and educational gaps—are not accidents. They are the direct, lingering consequences of slavery, colonialism, and structural exploitation by both Denmark and the United States. True progress is impossible without a formal acknowledgment of these historical harms and a commitment to reparative justice.

Agriculture & Food Security

The Virgin Islands’ almost total dependence on imported food is both a critical vulnerability and a direct result of our colonial history, which dismantled our indigenous agricultural systems. In a crisis, our food supply is at the mercy of shipping lanes and mainland disasters. Food security is not just an issue of hunger; it is an issue of sovereignty. We must build a food system where the Virgin Islands can feed the Virgin Islands.
My platform for agriculture is a comprehensive plan to revitalize this vital sector. We will secure federal and international reparative investment to rebuild our agricultural infrastructure, from production and processing to storage and distribution. We will treat agriculture as an economic engine, investing in sustainable farming and agrotech to create jobs and keep dollars circulating locally.

Health Equity & Human Rights

Our health is a human right, and for too long, a colonial political status has meant a two-tiered system of care. The people of the Virgin Islands face chronic health disparities, including high rates of diabetes, hypertension, and infant mortality, exacerbated by a fragile healthcare infrastructure. Our hospitals and clinics are vulnerable to natural disasters, and federal funding is capped at a fraction of what states receive, creating a permanent cycle of under-resourced care.

Education for the Future

Education is the key to our future, yet our schools are chronically underfunded and our students are denied the same opportunities as their mainland counterparts. This is a direct result of generational inequities rooted in our colonial status. We must correct this historical injustice by demanding substantial federal investment to modernize our school infrastructure, provide our teachers with the training they deserve, and equip our classrooms with the technology needed for the 21st century.
